1. "Cthulhu Rises!!" Emerges from the Abyss

   At long last, the veil has been lifted on "Cthulhu Rises!!" by Dark One Games.  Designed by our own Christopher Newell between fits of mental torments. This is no mere pastime, but a portal to realms untold, brimming with enigmas and shadowy intrigue. “Cthulhu Rises!!” is a fast-paced social deduction game, in which you will take on the role of either superstitious peasants fearful of the supernatural, a member of the Witches Council pledged to protect Our World, or Cultists bent on watching the world go mad under the rule of Cthulhu.  With a limited-run release, get a copy direct from Dark One Games if you and 5-12 of your cohorts are daring enough to peer into its depths of the Abyss. 

2. "Wyrmspan" Transcends into the realm of mortal man                      

   A novel creation has emerged from the depths, weaving the intricate threads of its forebearer, Wingspan, into the dark tapestry of the fantastical. This entity, known as Wyrmspan, is the brainchild of the adept architect Connie Vogelmann, with Elizabeth Hargrave shaping its development and Clémentine Campardou invoking its visual essence. 3. "That Escalated Quickly " Stalking in the shadowed corners of Reality

   Where the thin veil between sanity and madness flutters in the cosmic wind, there lies an experience most peculiar and unsettling: That Escalated Quickly. It is not merely a game but a ritual disguised as mirth, a conduit through which the unprepared mind might glimpse the chaotic essence of the cosmos. Yet, be warned, Seeker of dark truths: That Escalated Quickly is not merely a test of wit or creativity. Designed by the creators of Exploding Kittens, 2-8 initiates will engage in a rapid ascension of absurdity, each moment spiraling further into the realms of the unfathomable. Whispers From Beyond The Ethos

Frodo: Chris, you're known as a fervent board game aficionado and the visionary behind Dark One Games, LLC. What sparked your journey into the realm of tabletop gaming?

Chris: My fascination with tabletop gaming was ignited by my love for strategy, the enriching social gatherings it enables, and the tangible pleasure that comes with interacting with board games. It's the blend of intellectual challenge and community that truly captivated me.

Pad Thai: It's intriguing how you draw from a vast array of gaming experiences. How does this diversity fuel your game design process?

Chris: Every game I encounter introduces a new perspective or a unique mechanic that broadens my understanding of what a board game can be. I endeavor to weave these insights into my creations, so that I may craft games that not just entertain but also bring people together.

Pad Thai: Your first game, Cthulhu Rises!!, made quite the impression at its release. Could you share more about wearing multiple hats as the designer, writer, and artist for this project?

Chris: Delving into “Cthulhu Rises!!” was a dungeon crawl into the craziness that is my psyche. It was a challenge awakening the ancient artist within the realm of digital art. Twist that while ensuring that the game's design, narrative, and visual elements would deliver a compelling experience. But as I am currently the only designer, artist, and writer I had to embrace all these roles.  But I believe the endeavor was a journey worthwhile that transformed a mere concept into a maddening reality that players can enjoy.

Frodo: Behind every great creator, there's often a source of inspiration and support. Who would you like to acknowledge in your journey?

Chris: Absolutely, my journey would never have happened without my daughters, Kaelie and Isabelle, and my wife, Sonya. It was Sonya’s insistence that I shut up or start designing that set Dark One Games on its path. My girls have been there to help as brutal critics to ensure my insanity created results that would not be too embarrassing. In the end, their unwavering belief that what others see as madness is just a visionary's foresight and my gaming desires are a plausible reality.

There are mutterings of a crowdfunding campaign of the most unfathomable, promising to awaken the slumbering terror that is Cthulhu. The world unknowingly teeters on the brink of madness as “Cthulhu Rises!!” begins its ascent in 2024.
